THE KIND OF FRIENDS WE USED TO BE... BY FRANCES O'ROARK DOWELL

Hello Girlies!!! This is Olivia posting now, with another really great book here!! Obviously, you can tell by the title the name of this book is "The Kind of Friends We Used to Be" by Frances O'roark Dowell. Alright, so I found out about this book in the 4th grade, (Im a Middle Schooler now) through my gifted class teacher. So I  then just decided "Hey! All books deserve a Shot" and picked it up at my local bookstore. Some of you all may be familiar with Frances' work. This book is actually the sequel to THE SECRET LANGUAGE OF GIRLS. Now for the review.
This book is a great choice for tween girls because of its reality. In most books for tweens its mostly just unrealistic. But not this one. By reality I mean that All girls have gone through what Marilyn and Kate are.            Marilyn and Kate are now 7th graders (they were 6th in the first book) and still dwelling on the past. They realized they are two totally different people, going in two totally different directions......or are they both just in need of someone telling them they're right? I have gone through the same thing, being in an argument with a bestie, then just wishing she would tell you you were right all along and apoligize? Then you could tell her all about that new lip gloss....but back to the review. This book is sort of like a Life lesson. Great if you're struggling with your BFF. 5 stars. Oh! And I did this review alone, since IDK if chloe read it or not. Toodles!

Life Lesson: Dont argue with your bestie. Its not worth it, Im sure the skirt looks good on both of you!
